About Me

Home: About Me

Stephanie is a professional actor and playwright based in Baltimore, Maryland. She recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a MFA in Acting Classical and Contemporary Text. She also holds a BA (hons) in Theatre and Government from Dartmouth College.

Born in London, Stephanie grew up in South Africa and France before completing the IB at UWC Atlantic College in Wales and then her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College in the US. Stephanie has always had a passion for teaching others - starting with tutoring her classmates in high school and continuing all through her college years as a language and maths tutor. Stephanie moved back to London after graduating and began guiding students through the US college application process, from helping them achieve their target scores to navigating the stressful period of applying to universities.

Stephanie has taught school courses both online and in person at Wellington College, Westminster, Sevenoaks, Harrow, and St Mary’s Ascot School, as well as her individual students. She has experience teaching students with both ADHD and dyslexia, working closely with the student and the parent to devise a plan that will work for the student’s timeline and also maximise confidence in their learning. Her university experience in the Arts and Social Sciences paired with taking Higher Level Maths for her IB diploma and pursuing maths classes at university puts her in a great position to confident teach all sections of the SAT and ACT. For the past five years, Stephanie has also included advisory services for her students, including writing university essays and cultivating application lists unique to the needs of each students.

Stephanie is now also available for Drama School advising. Having just been through the audition process herself, she is uniquely placed to help students navigate the audition process: picking monologues, directing actors to find truth and intention in their playing, and prepping for interviews. .

In 2020, Stephanie was honoured to be selected as a University of Chicago Outstanding Educator, having been nominated by one of her previous students.

"Despite the rigour and difficulty of the US application system, working with Steph made the process an enjoyable one. She always gave me extensive support, guidance and encouragement whilst being honest and constructive. She always inspired me to try as hard as I could to put in the extra effort to get my desired outcome and reassured me whenever I lost confidence in myself and my abilities. I am so grateful to have had her as a tutor and I cannot recommend her enough."
